Poem or poetry is one of the beautiful way to express untold feeling and story. This poetry book invite us to the poetic journey of two people who write their feelings. Two writers who use two metaphor to give another name for theirselves, they are Biru and Magenta. From the first page, the reader will find many simple poem but deep, which is written such as a meaningful conversation. Reciprocally.

Forget about the difficult phrase or difficult interpretation. To read this book, we only need the pure mind and honesty. We could admit how beautiful love is even the heart throb could change one’s life so chaotic. Distance is the bridge for two lovers become closer. By the yearning sentences, through the lullaby because the distance, Biru and Magenta express their own thought.

This book is arranged with the unusual way. Another writer reply the previous poem. From a human love, slowly they bring us to another world which is called the death. Everyone who is separated with their lovely person, mostly know about the pain. Just read on page 79 and 81. Biru and Magenta draw their sadness by the poem. But, they won’t make the reader upset or tiresome because the writers collect their understanding about death tenderly.

Biru and Magenta also decorate their book with great illustrations. Only seeing the illustration can pump our imagination. Life is colourful like love itselves. Maybe some people say if love just full of red, the others think if love’s cycle is similar with life. The writers lead us to their journey.

Melancholia is the most topic in this book. Wrapped by the casual words, leave a deep reflection to our heart. Let me pick out a small portion from one of my favorite poem in this book.

Masih, dan selalu, Sayangku.
Pada akhirnya, biarkanlah CINTA termaknai dan
Menemui maknanya sendiri, pada jiwa-jiwa pencintanya. (page 17)

(The Translation by me)
It’s still, and always My Dear.
Finally, let LOVE becomes meaningful.
Find the own mean to the lover’s souls.
